I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciate your diligence, commitment to excellence, and your exceptional dental skills.   I have already adjusted to my new crown.   It is abundantly clear that even the slightest error in sizing would be really awkward and uncomfortable. The fit you created is perfect!   Thank you for caring so much about the work that you do for others.   I will never take for granted that I have a great dentist and access to great dental care. Additionally, it is an added bonus that you are  a really great guy!

I so like my dentist ... how weird is it that I like going to the dentist, even for tooth repair! He's got a magic touch! And the office staff are warm, welcoming, friendly, and family-like after all these years. So if you need a great dentist, Dr. Mason fits the bill. Tell him "Carol sent me!" and he'll be even gentler when he crowns the next tooth LOL!
Over the years Dr. Mason has done regular checkups, crowned a few teeth, repaired a few teeth, replaced an old dead front tooth, and eliminated a gap between the two top front teeth (giving me a much nicer smile).
I also like the fact that Dr. Mason works hard to do only what needs to be done. If he can save a tooth, he does so. If he can save it for the short term and make suggestions for long-term work, he does that.

In Dr. Mason, one finds the rare combination of impressive technical skill, wise counsel, concern for patient comfort, and engaging manner.  I have total confidence in his work, and it is so obvious that he cares deeply about what he does. His meticulous, knowledgeable approach gives great credibility to his advice on treatment, which I tend to follow without reservation. Moreover, he sees patients as people, not just "cases," and focuses on minimizing discomfort and making each visit as pleasant an experience as possible (in this, he is aided by a warm and equally committed staff). In almost twenty years as his patient, I have never been dissatisfied with any aspect of my experience in his office.

Dr. Mason I want to thank you for your truly outstanding service and the very special and caring attention you gave to me, the mother of one of your patients on my visit to Boston from Brazil. I broke my front tooth, which fell out of  my mouth, on a Thursday night and after my daughter called you late in the evening, you made an early morning appointment to attend me, even though you were booked for the entire day and would be traveling out of the country yourself on the weekend.

 

You gave me some of the best medical attention I have ever received. You carefully evaluated my situation, provided me with thorough explanations and analysis of various  treatment options, took pictures  and wrote a detailed report to share with my dentist in Brazil. I was impressed with how personable, honest and efficient you were and how you are so attentive to every professional detail of your work.  You are amazing!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mason’s for 20 years.   I attribute his expertise, knowledge, and outstanding treatments for enabling me to keep all my teeth.  I moved to California 13 years ago and have  been treated by two other dentists  but neither have compared to Dr. Mason.   I still return to Boston in the summertime  and always schedule an appointment with Dr. Mason.  Five years ago I broke a tooth badly, and my dentist in California wanted me to see an oral surgeon to have the tooth extracted followed by a 6000 dollar implant and cap.   I sent Dr. Mason the X-ray, and he said “hold off on treatment until you can see me.”  I saw him 2 months later and he rebuilt my tooth with bonding in an hour for $350 dollars.  It’s still perfect 5 years later!   Fran Z in CA

Although I am very happy to show my support for Dr. Mason’s new website I am much more delighted to show my admiration and respect for him as both a wonderful dentist and fine person.

     I have personally lost tract of how long it has been that I have known Dr. Mason and had the special benefit of having him as my dentist.  What I do remember very well, however, is the care and expertise he applies to his work.  I really believe that dentistry cannot be performed any better than what Dr. Mason does.

     We have all heard the saying that actions speak louder than words.  In my case that means that my wife, my sister-in-law and most recently one of our friends are all now patients of Dr. Mason.  In these three cases, I am sorry to say, this had to come about by poor dental care from other dentists.  Now, all four of us are travelling over an hour each way to see Dr. Mason. 

     In my personal case, after much pressure from my family to go to a local North Shore dentist to avoid the long drive, I soon returned to Dr. Mason having proved that superb quality of service is much, much more important than saving a couple of hours in a commute every few months.

     So, at this point, I congratulate Dr. Mason for many years of outstanding performance and I wish him all the best in his practice.

My entire family of five has been visiting Dr. Mason for 18 years.  My three kids grew up with him as their magical dentist and have always looked forward to a visit with him. Dr. Mason is THE BEST dentist I have ever been to!!! Although, there are many fine dentists in Connecticut, I prefer to take the road trip twice a year to see Dr. Mason. I never thought that I would look forward to going to the dentist..but a visit to see Dr. Mason is more like going to your favorite spa for a facial...not a dental visit. When intense procedures are required they are done in a painless and efficient way. The result is truly art...or perhaps I should say.... magic.

Dr. Mason came recommended to me by a friend of mine in grad school as a kinder, gentler sort of dentist.   He was meticulous with my post-root canal crown, working to make my new tooth look perfectly symmetric with its mirror molar.  I bring my three children to see him, and they really look forward to the dentist visits.  In fact, they ask to go to the dentist all the time, and are disappointed that I will only bring them twice a year. He even performed magic shows at their birthday parties! When my son almost knocked out his two front teeth when he took a fall at home  Dr, Mason came to my home to manage the situation-- talk about service!

Everyone on this page has a great Dr. Mason story.  Each story tells you what a great dentist he is and how he offers pain free dentistry at a reasonable price.  My story is a little different.  A few years ago, my business took a nose dive.  Through corporate downsizing and a failing economy more than sixty percent of my clients were either unemployed and searching for work, or frightened to death that they might be the next person to go.  Added to that, my wife’s family experienced an unimaginable number of deaths in one year and it was all followed by two IRS audits and my wife contracting breast cancer.  We were having a hard time, down on our luck…you get the picture.  Oh, there’s one more thing, I needed a massive amount of work on my teeth with no means to pay beyond the meager amount dental insurance grudgingly agreed to contribute.  And then, to add insult to injury my wife lost her job.  One of the few people who stood by me during the last few years was Dr. Mason.  Even when I couldn’t pay everything all at once, Dr. Mason provided my wife and me with the same high quality dentistry we’ve always received from him.  In truth, it’s easier to find a dentist than it is to find a good man.  With Dr. Mason you find both, a great dentist and a good man.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mason for over 20 years.  In 1989, he bonded a front lateral tooth for me to correct its size and shape.  Twenty-two years later it still looks like the day he bonded it!  He also replaced a bridge for me in 1991, and to this day, it has been perfect.  He is thorough and gentle all at the same time.  I highly recommend Dr. Mason as one of the best dentists in the Boston area!

Without a doubt Dr. Mason has perfected both the science and the art of dentistry.  I and my son Peter have been the recipients of his excellent care for over 20 years.  Dr. Mason loves his profession and indeed delivers dental services with a magic touch.  My son, now 46 years old, suffered TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) in 1992.  As a result he was left with many deficits including behavioral problems which are often difficult to deal with.  Through his patience and kindness Dr. Mason has miraculously gained Peter's confidence enough so that he sits in the chair, gets his teeth cleaned, and occasionally has a tooth drilled/filled.  Probably the most incredible feat is giving him novocaine.  No other medical professional has been able to use a needle, i.e. injection or drawing blood while Peter is conscious.  I shall be forever grateful for his magic touch.  And I should add, I still have a nice smile, at least the teeth part!  Appointments with Dr. Mason are well worth our hour round trip drive.
